Paint Mask

Finally got some work done tonight, just samples and still can't find any X-ACTO knifes, had the weed these holding a blade between my fingers (oh ya find the extra blades), moving has it's trying times!

Studio

Spent a good full hour clean and organizing, now have about 10 sq ft to work in....
Got the vinyl cutter setup and have a couple paint masks to do later tonight.

And just about done the 'honey do list'.

Art Studio

After long reflection on the little space, it's not going to work, the limited space has many safety issues and a very large expense, to get fresh air into the room when painting (safety).

The new plan!
Insulate the two car garage, add a heater and ventilation.
So no more eating out and buying coffee, time to save money for the insulation and drywall.

And the biggest hurdle is emptying the garage, it's full of stuff from the old house and candy machines!

So if you are reading this and are business or property owner in Clarington I have and very nice candy machine for your high traffic store!

Finish Pinstriping last weekend at Autofest and sold this weekend, BUT just realized I never took a photo of it finished :(

Things to do

Still things to do around the 'new to us' house, lots to do, sort, unpack, so no work on the paint studio to share.

But on a sidebar I can't believe some people don't check/change the furnace filter...

New paint studio

We have move and I get to put together a new paint studio!!! It's not big, which for me is a good thing, I have a tendency of collecting too much stuff!
So lean and mean from hear on in.. Easel will go up on the right side with storage behind and the tool box will have a table top added.

New DeWALT Jigsaw!!

For years I have been taking care of my old tools and thought if they work why replaces them, last month I bought a new DeWALT DW317K Jig Saw to replaces a 30 year old B&D my Mom bought when I was 10.

Well I should have bought one 20 years ago, I think I would have saved weeks of cutting time. The DeWALT DW317K Jig Saw  jigsaw is a dream to use (yes I'm name dropping and linking this to amazon). The DeWALT jigsaw has a variable speed trigger, tilting blade and quick blade release. No more flat head screw driver gouging into my fingers, while I try to change the blades.

Just awesome, I'm saving up for some more new DeWALT tools to replace the relics I'v been using for years!

My hope in buying some new tools will be a return in time saved, looking for feature like quick release and quick change.

New Toy

Moving soon and got a new toy for when I setup shop, bought this Electrio Pounce machine to speed up the time it takes to make stencils.

Candy & Toys

Uturn cleaned up and striped for a slower moving location, hoping it will get noticed.

I cleaned it up by removing all the stickers and changed the mechs over to 25cent.

The green is to same colour as the company logo where its is going...

Flame Job

Stretch Out Flames

Laid-out and Striped theses long flames to brake up the two tone on this mini truck.

Super fun job, the boys tape it all up and Ryan sprayed the silver (gunmetal), I Pinstriped the upper red over black and lower black over red.

Rat Fink inspired sharks teeth on a 2000 S10, bagged and sit on the rockers.

6th Annual Percy Boom

A weekend for Pinstripers, Sign Painters and Lowbrow Artist to get together, tell lies and exchange art.

I was asked to install vinyl on the UPS Battery Center Melges 24, I have worked with their Canadain store in the past.
They will be racing at Charleton SC this weekend April 18-21 2013, with over 250 boats on the water the large logo should get them notice.

Detroit Autorama

I received a very nice Thank You Letter, for my art donations from Leader Dogs for the Blind, the total raised for the event at Detroit Autorama run by the Motor City Auto Art Mavens was over $50,000!
What a great job everyone did and my hats off to all there hard work!

Nice Weather

Did a work van today in the nice weather, 11 deg. is great this time of year!

1941 CCM FLYTE

Pinstriped a 1941 CCM FLYTE, it's a little different them the others i'v do as the head stock has a different design.

29 Dodge Brothers

Pinstriped a 29 Dodge Brothers coupe, nice car! Has a Hemi, suicide doors, steel roof, custom interior, custom tail lights and list goes on, I outlined the belt line, then striped it white, a little detail on the visor and cowl (the visor is off in the picture) then all the way around the fenders and running boards....
