Did the front door on a warm but windy Sunday.

Collaboration Decks

At the Precy Boom Pinstriper Corn Roast, a number of pinstripers all pitched in and did one colour on these skate decks, which were given away at the end of the night. I helped out with the black one in the middle.

Smallwoods Customs

Striped the front door at Small Woods Customs in Oshawa a couple weeks ago and had a look at there plasma CNC, very cool setup! If you need any parts cut contact me for there number or if you know Ryan give him a call.

Hand Cut Numbers

Working on unit numbers, cut and shaped by my hands. 3 inch tall .5 inch think in primer. Will be mounted and gilded with 23k german gold.

Sign for sale!

Finished up this TATTOO sign the other night. Bright red and process blue, 1-shot , - update - SOLD at charity auction...........

Sign for Sale

Working on this TATTOO sign, wanted to do one for sometime and had some extra MDF.
Routed the edges, primed, painted and now lettering.
Finished picture coming soon.

The Sunday job

Yes another crappy cell phone picture.

But one nice 1951 Ford pickup, bagged with a corvette engine.

Door Lettering

Finished up the Model-T with door lettering, red variegated gold leaf on the main copy and an off white wash with speed lines on the secondary.
The owner loves it and is working hard to get it ready for a local show Sunday morning.

The Sunday Job

Working on a job this morning, that was given to me through another Pinstriper. Thanks Mask!
Just started with the lettering.

1934 CCM Red Bird

Pinstriped the front forks to match this all original CCM, very interesting how much bikes have not changed. Another fun one to do and more to come!

Rescue Station 231, Toronto East.

Finished all the outlines on this fire fighter panel, 23k gold engine turned by hand, fun project and an honour to do.

Regatta

One more; I saw this old water skid in an antique barn 'The Red Barn' and immediately knew what I wanted to do to it.
I got it home, clean off the old damaged hardware, sanded it down, plugged the holes, urethane it and lettered it up (urethane is slippery stuff, just like glass).
This is going to my Uncle and Aunt for there cottage.

Metal Shaping Weekend

Took a little time off this weekend to learn some new metal shaping techniques and make some parts for a pedal car project I'm restoring for my kids.
Pictured is a quarter panel patch for the pedal car and a bowl or hub cap made by shrinking the metal (going to us it for Pinstriping practice).

Engine Turned Gold Leaf

New panel for one of our finest, all the respect in the world for front of the line service people.
I still have black outlines to do, but it looks so good just as is. More to come!

Sign Painting

Redid the outline on the name plates. It was great weather and had a ton of people walking by with great feedback on this sign.
One thing I did note is I need a sandwich board for when I'm out painting.

Car Show Girls

I could not sit all weekend at the MegaSpeed car show, have all the girls walk by and not have it effect my painting.
Painted the Girl at MegaSpeed on the Sunday , lettered last week and the flamed background a year ago.

Six and Two

Great show finished six pieces of work and two half done. Awesome Cars and People...

MegaSpeed Custom Car & Truck Show

This weekend is the MegaSpeed Show, old show name was Proformance World Car Show.. Last year there was 43 Pinstripers, the turn out should be the same this year, so there will be no lineups to get you items pinstriped!
I'll be there all three days Pinstriping and telling lies!
Hope to see you there..

Vintage Torque Fest

Charity auction panel for Helping Hannah's Heart, John Wells sends these panels out blank to Pinstripers and other artists.  Each year is a different theme, this year he sent out Rat Finks.  Had a blast painting this Fink and hope the best for the Foundation and the Family's it helps.

23K Gold Install

Winter finally came the same day I installed the gilded sign, design and built by yours truly. 1-Shot paint, letters are 23k german gold leaf with black outlines and the trim is all recycled hardwood.
Barry J. Carmichael is a very good Family Lawyer if your going though a rough patch.

The end of a book

Gold William
Here's where I end my night, I'd love to stay up all night but there's still lots to do at the 9-5 and I finished off a book of gold leaf. Outline still to be done.

deviantART, pinstriping by the ton!

devianART.com largest online social network for artists, it's a great collective and you can buy prints and other merchandise if you would like to see or buy something let me know..

Solid Adhesion

Making sure these letters have had good adhesion has taken up more of my waking moments that I care to admit. After several test panels to make sure I could have a nice finish as well as good adhesion, I went with masking off the area where the raised lettering would be, coated out the sign board (MDO) ,removed the mask and then secured the letters to the sign, leaving a nice finish and rock solid letters.

Some New Weapons

I've been doing a lot of fill in with my good lettering brushes and had to replace one (expensive)... So I bought a set of mixed hair brushes 169's, Mack has made these a cost effective alternative to the all natural brushes and there not bad just did a hour of fill ins... More spring then the 189's great for the carved letters I've been painting.
